on: Shalom Rabbi It is written in the verse (Genesis 4:16) Cain came out before The Creator and sat in the land of Nod, and Cain knew his wife and gave birth, etc. From the meaning of the torah’ it looks like cains wife lined in nod is that correct I would also like to find out what the word ‘Cain’ means in Hebrew? Thank you

: During this time, Cain married a woman, there were no people in the world at all, except Adam and Eve, Cain and hevel [until hevel was killed]. And there were no men and women in the countries of the world, but with hevel a twin was born and Cain had a twin as well, and hevel and Cain married them. As Rashi brings in (Leviticus chapter 2 verse 17). So Cain married his twin who grew up at home with him and was not from Nod Land. However, after swearing in exile, he was consumed into exile and went to eastern Aden, and named the place a nod after his migration, where he knew his wife who came with him. The word Cain means the language of property, as the Torah said in the beginning of  (Genesis 14:1), and she said I bought a man from hashem. ‘Cain’  also means ‘creation’, as it is said about the Creator buying heaven and earth, that is, creating heaven and earth. Imagine that there were only two people in the world Adam and Eve, and both of them created a miracle rather than a way of birth, and suddenly the woman who has mercy is born a man whose appearance is different from all the looks of the animals and beasts they know and resembles them. This sensational discovery is reflected in the name of Cain, which expresses his mother’s thought that she had bought a man from the Creator, who gave her the power to create a person in the world.     Reasoning and sources

Answer:

During this time, Cain married a woman, there were no people in the world at all, except Adam and Eve, Cain and hevel [until hevel was killed].
