Question

Would a non Jewish person be welcome to attend synagogue and share worship?

Answer

Hello & Greetings

A gentile may come and pray, bless and thank God in the synagogue of the Jews, as the prophet said in Isaiah: “For my house of prayer shall call upon all nations.”

It is true that a non-Jew does not join a minyan, and does not go up to read a Torah scroll, because these are laws that belong to the Jewish community.

PLEASE NOTE*

Attention: You should not learn from one case to another, each case must be analyzed individually. Generally speaking, it's always best to have contact with a Rabbi in person, not just virtual contact. Note that where there is a local Rabbi("Mara Deatra"), one should ask him. The answers are under the responsibility of the rabbi who responded, and not under the responsibility of the website and/or the Head of the Institution.
