Tomb of Tana Hakadosh Rabbi Nachum Ish Gamzu
Rabbi Nachum Ish Gamzu was one of the first Tannaim (sages of the Mishnah era) and teacher of Rabbi Akiva
What do you bless an a earthquake? And when there is a tremor, what do you do to get a guard? It any segulah?
ANSWER
An earthquake is blessed with ” ברוך אתה א-ד-נ-י א-להינו מלך העולם עושה מעשה בראשית.” And if he wishes, he can bless another
blessing: ” ברוך את א-ד-נ-י א-להינו מלך העולם שכחו וגבורתו מלא עולם”[1]. And blessings are given only if the tremor has not yet ended, but if a little time has passed after it has ended again there are no blessings[2]. And a weak earthquake (if you feel it) should also be blessed, even if it is not life-threatening [3].
And of course it is necessary to bless in “Shem V’Malchut” – as is known from the opinion of Maran Rabbi Ovadia Yosef Zal in his book Yechava Da’at [4].
And about how to be saved when there is an earthquake (virtues, etc.

And there are virtues to do even before there is an earthquake, so that, God forbid, he will be saved:
And there are Kabbalists (such as the Chabif Zal, and Mohar David Zakata Zal, etc.) who corrected a longer order to say in order to be saved from an earthquake, and we will present their words in the sources [13].
And after there have been several earthquakes several times, the Chabif Zaleh[14] wrote that when a Torah scroll is published on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays (and on Shabbat they will do the same in the mincha) they will say 13 Middot of Mercy and then the verse לעולם ה’ דבריך נצב בשמים (13 times). but Maran HaG-d Ovadia Yosef z”l was not so comfortable in reciting the 13th of Middot on Shabbat, Therefore, on Shabbat, it is only necessary to say ” לעולם ה’ דבריך נצב בשמים” ” 12 times as mentioned above.

PLEASE NOTE*
Attention: You should not learn from one case to another, each case must be analyzed individually. Generally speaking, it's always best to have contact with a Rabbi in person, not just virtual contact. Note that where there is a local Rabbi("Mara Deatra"), one should ask him. The answers are under the responsibility of the rabbi who responded, and not under the responsibility of the website and/or the Head of the Institution.
