 Question:

If you are living in the same house as a family, is it acceptable to the Lord to have different religions?

Answer:

Peace and Blessings

There is no problem to live with people of other religions in the same house, insofar as there is no fear of bloodshed, and the Gentiles do not bring foreign labor into the house and there is no obstacle of gentile cooking and wine, etc. However, it is better to avoid this, so as not to be influenced by their opinions and leaderships.

However, when it comes to living with a woman who is not Jewish, it is important to know that a woman who is not Jewish is never going to be a family, because a family can only be established with a Jewish woman. According to Judaism, there is no marriage between a Jew and a Gentile, and children born from a pairing of a Jew and a Gentile do not refer to the father, and are not considered Jews.

Apart from this, there is also a unique prohibition with gentile to live in one closed house with gentile.

Therefore, you must make every effort with all your might, to cut off all contact with a woman who is not Jewish, and certainly not to live with her in one house, and choose a Jewish girl of Israel, with whom she will raise a family in holiness and joy.

And may G-d succeed through you to establish a kosher home in Israel

And you will not come to sin.

Attention: You should not learn from one case to another, each case must be analyzed individually. Generally speaking, it's always best to have contact with a Rabbi in person, not just virtual contact. Note that where there is a local Rabbi("Mara Deatra"), one should ask him. The answers are under the responsibility of the rabbi who responded, and not under the responsibility of the website and/or the Head of the Institution.
