The laws of the eve of Passover that falls on Shabbat (2025)
This year (2025) the fourteenth of Nissan (the eve of Passover) falls on Saturday, the chametz is checked by candlelight
On the one hand, the shulchan aruch possek on the siman 188 that the important thing is the beginning of the seudah, but in a case where someone started the seudah on the erev shabbat and ended on the shabbat, the shulchan aruch brings that it does retze vehahalitzenu (and even in the opinion that it does not does, the mishna brura says that if you eat kazait after dark, yes you do)… it seems from here that what the shulchan aruch passak of hatchalat haseudah does not ALWAYS apply, so how would the halacha look in the above case?
thanks!

thanks for the answer… but I was in doubt, according to this CHIDAH, the conclusion is that if I started a seudah on erev shabbat and ended it on shabbat and I also ate on shabbat, I should follow the beginning of the seudah and I don’t do retze, that is, in the case of rosh hodesh too, if I started erev rosh hodesh and ended on rosh hodesh and ate, I follow the beginning of the seudah and I don’t do it! correct?
True, according to the CHida’s Law in the interpretation of the Shu’a, this will be the law in law and in practice.
Best regards
