Question: We have a child in the community who has difficulty in school, and I saw that the child’s father feels distressed, and I sat to study with the child every day for an hour for a while, to help promote him, and the father knew that I sit every day and study with him, and then I asked the child’s father for payment. But he does not want to pay, and he claims he thought that I was studying with him voluntarily, who is right?
Answer: Since this depends on the rabbinical dispute, it is not possible to oblige the father to pay, but it is possible to explain to the father pleasantly, that he wants to do what is good and right in the eyes of Hashem, he is commanded to pay.
