Question:
As part of my job I need to supervise ladies working with children to make sure they are using the right methods and working properly. I am paid by the insurance company to come usually for a block of 2 hours at a time. Am I allowed to look at the lady working or should I be trying to look away and does it make a difference if they are dressed properly or not, with regards to this question
Answer:
The question of a wise person is a half an answer, from your question I see your pure heart and soul.
I will write you briefly with god’s help.
If the women are dressed properly, you are entitled to do your work as usual, because seeing a regular seeing without focusing on them is permitted, when the women is properly dressed.
But if she is not modestly dressed, you can observe their work, but you should pay attention not to look at them beyond what is necessary for your work, because only when you work the rabbis permitted doing your job.
May there be a desire, thanks to your caution in the torah commandments, no harm will come to you.
(The answer was conducted by rabbi Shlomo Shraga, who sits on Midin in the “Baruch Shamar” court.)”
