Quetion:

I wanted to ask what the Holy Spirit is?

And is there Holy Spirit today?

Thank you

Answer:

Your question is important and interesting

The Holy Spirit is, any attainment of wisdom or spiritual attainment achieved through influence from above and not as a natural attainment.

It is necessary to know that there are several degrees in the concept called the Holy Spirit, with the highest rank being the degree of prophecy and it does not exist today, but the other degrees that follow it still exist today.

Here are some different degrees in the Holy Spirit:

·         The degree of prophecy, prophesied by the prophet the words of God. This rank no longer exists in our time, since the last of the prophets who are Zechariah and Malachi.

·         The rank of the Holy Spirit, which commands those who study Torah for its own sake who achieve enlightenment ‘in the Torah’ more than their power.

·         The rank of the Holy Spirit that the name of G-d in the mouth of the great man who clung to G-d will bless the right vision and the right thought to advise what to do.

·         The rank of ‘siyatah Deshmiya’ that will not come out of the mouth of the great man even when he no longer sees the seen.

·         The degree of the Holy Spirit that comes from the cleanness of the mind of the great man who is asked who is directed towards the name of heaven and for the benefit of the questioner without any personal touches at all.

·         The rank of the Holy Spirit that commands the great man who is asked by virtue of the innocent faith of the questioner who believes in the great man he asks, and in this gives him strength and help with ‘siyatah Deshmiya’.

Every rank of these ranks, apart from the rank of prophecy, still exists today among the holy sages and leaders of the generation, therefore we make sure and endeavor in everything to ask the knowledge of Torah, in order to gain the help of ‘siyatah Deshmiya’ and the Holy Spirit who commands the great men of the Torah.

Best regards with success in all matters

Attention: You should not learn from one case to another, each case must be analyzed individually. Generally speaking, it's always best to have contact with a Rabbi in person, not just virtual contact. Note that where there is a local Rabbi("Mara Deatra"), one should ask him. The answers are under the responsibility of the rabbi who responded, and not under the responsibility of the website and/or the Head of the Institution.
