Question

Hi Rabbi, We have one sink in our kitchen and we want to make sure we are using it correctly.  We never put anything directly in it.  However, when we suspend a sieve over the sink and empty cooked pasta into it, obviously the steam from the pot hits the bottom of the sink and rises up to the pasta, sieve, and faucet head. Therefore, if there was fleishigs in the sink within 24 hours, does the steam make the pasta, sieve, and faucet head fleishigs? Thank you in advance, Rabbi.

Answer

this is permitted without any fear.

Attention: You should not learn from one case to another, each case must be analyzed individually. Generally speaking, it's always best to have contact with a Rabbi in person, not just virtual contact. Note that where there is a local Rabbi("Mara Deatra"), one should ask him. The answers are under the responsibility of the rabbi who responded, and not under the responsibility of the website and/or the Head of the Institution.
