on: Is it considered bowing down to a sign of a idol if I slipped and fell? I happened to be opening up a screen door as I was walking up some steps and I slipped on the step and fell down. As I was getting up from the fall I noticed that there was an idol sign on the door and I was on my knees. I did not know the sign was there as I was opening up the screen door and quickly fell to the floor. Dave

: You should not fear the iniquity of bowing to a idol, for you did not experience but fell, and even those you bent down to pick up any object that fell from you near a idol. It is not considered to have bowed to a idol. Even for the prohibition of appearance (marit hayen), you do not have to fear, since the prohibition of appearance to others is only said when in the eyes of those who see it as a bowing to a idol, but a fall does not seem to anyone as a bowing to a idol. Only you have to pay attention that after you fell, to hurry up and not stay beyond the needy, so as not to get to a situation where it looks like you bowed down to a idol. Welcome, and you will not stumble and will not fall and no obstacle or misdemeanor will come to you Rabbi David Ohayon Sources and Scores

Attention: You should not learn from one case to another, each case must be analyzed individually. Generally speaking, it's always best to have contact with a Rabbi in person, not just virtual contact. Note that where there is a local Rabbi("Mara Deatra"), one should ask him. The answers are under the responsibility of the rabbi who responded, and not under the responsibility of the website and/or the Head of the Institution.
