on: Hi is it allowed for me to wear my wife clothes when only the two of us are around? Does it matter sfefardi or askkenazi?

: Peace and Blessings! An important question you asked, concerning a strict prohibition expressed in the Torah, for which lashes are obligatory! But you did not mention in your remarks, what clothes are involved? – And for what purpose, you wear them? In fact: if we are talking about clothes that are suitable for both (man and woman) – it is allowed. But if we are talking about clothes that are special to the woman – it is forbidden. And there are some rabbis that allow, but only in the following way! If you do so to protect from the heat/cold/rain. For example: slippers, pajama pants, umbrella, coat, scarf, parasol, boots. But must know That not all your clothes shall be of a woman And also, that it will still be evident, that you are a man. Although, since there are aggravators, (and it seems to be the opinion of the ‘shulchan aruch’), it is worth avoiding all this, altogether! And there is no difference if you are Sephardi/Ashkenazi. And if you are alone, or among women! Greetings Rabbi Chaim Zafarani.   Sources and reasoning

But you did not mention in your remarks, what clothes are involved? – And for what purpose, you wear them?

In fact: if we are talking about clothes that are suitable for both (man and woman) – it is allowedBut if we are talking about clothes that are special to the woman – it is forbidden.

PLEASE NOTE*

Attention: You should not learn from one case to another, each case must be analyzed individually. Generally speaking, it's always best to have contact with a Rabbi in person, not just virtual contact. Note that where there is a local Rabbi("Mara Deatra"), one should ask him. The answers are under the responsibility of the rabbi who responded, and not under the responsibility of the website and/or the Head of the Institution.
