Question:
I accidentally poured a pot of boiling water in the meat sink. The pot was a dairy pot (not used for dairy for over 24 hours and clean.) It was used to boil an egg. The meat sink was empty (no dishes or cutlery in it). Does the meat sink need to be kashered before it can be used again?
Answer:
A wise question is an half an answer
There is no need to kasher the sink, because the taste of milk that was in the water is ‘nat bar nat dhtara’, that is, a second taste of milk and not actual milk, so we do not forbid the meat sink.
In addition, as you mentioned in your question, because the milk pot has not been used in the last twenty-four hours, therefore the taste of the milk that was in the pot has been damaged and the water cooked in the pot has received a defective taste of milk and is not defined as dairy.
Multiple regards.
