A oven for dairy and meat

If your oven was used until now for baking and cooking dairy foods only, you can prepare it so that you can use it from now on for parve or meat.

To do this, wait twenty-four hours after using the oven for baking milk, and thoroughly clean the oven of any food residues, and any greasy container of milk stuck to the walls of the oven.

Then turn on the oven on high heat for about half an hour.

After this action it will be possible to use the oven for parve or meat, from then on.

It is important to note that it is not appropriate to change the use of the oven every time from meat to milk, because this causes confusion and obstacle, but it is appropriate to decide what the oven will be used regularly for meat or milk.
