Summary of the Tithing laws on Financial Income (Ma’asrot, Tzedakah, etc.) How much should a person donate of their profits
on: I’ve moved into a new house. I want to set up my mezuzah on the front door. However, the door is enclosed in the wall on both sides, and it has no space on either side of the door to place the mezuzah. Can I assume The mezuzah in the wall by the door or what do I have to do?
: The place of the mezuzah is on the lintel (frame head) itself and not on the walls on the sides, so if you have a place in the thickness of the lintel set the mezuzah in the thickness of the lintel from the outside on the right side of the entrance to the house. If there is no room at all in the thickness of the lintel from the outside, such as that the door comes in a straight line at the end of the thickness of the lintel, set the mezuzah at the thickness of the lintel from the inside, on the right side of the incoming house. Only if it is not possible to determine the mezuzah at all in the thickness of the lintel, the mezuzah can be determined in the wall next to the lintel from the outside, as close as possible to the lintel, and in any case within eight centimeters to the lintel. PLEASE NOTE*
Attention: You should not learn from one case to another, each case must be analyzed individually. Generally speaking, it's always best to have contact with a Rabbi in person, not just virtual contact. Note that where there is a local Rabbi("Mara Deatra"), one should ask him. The answers are under the responsibility of the rabbi who responded, and not under the responsibility of the website and/or the Head of the Institution.
