Should a prayer leader (shaliach tzibbur) ascend on the day of his parents' death, even if it will detract from his concentration during prayer?

Regarding his father or mother within twelve months [of their passing] and on the yahrzeit, should he ascend as prayer leader if he knows that by doing so he will not concentrate properly in his prayer, and similarly if he will need to shorten his prayer more than usual? Similarly, should a Kohen (priest) in mourning within twelve months ascend as prayer leader for Shacharit (morning prayer) and Mussaf (additional prayer) even if this will prevent him from going up to the platform to bless the congregation ?

Regarding his father or mother within twelve months, if he knows himself that if he goes before the amud (prayer stand), he will not concentrate properly in his prayer, he should not ascend, and the same applies on the yahrzeit. Similarly, a Kohen in mourning within twelve months should not ascend to be the prayer leader for Shacharit and Mussaf even if there are other Kohanim.

PLEASE NOTE*

Attention: You should not learn from one case to another, each case must be analyzed individually. Generally speaking, it's always best to have contact with a Rabbi in person, not just virtual contact. Note that where there is a local Rabbi("Mara Deatra"), one should ask him. The answers are under the responsibility of the rabbi who responded, and not under the responsibility of the website and/or the Head of the Institution.
