Question

What should a man do when his wife committed adultery, but want to stay together while having a love relationship with another man?

I am torn between breaking up our home, hurting our children and our family, bringing dishonor to my success in life and to my ancestors, and between shutting the door in front of her and moving on to a new chapter in my life.

My hashem have mercy on me.

Respectfully.

Answer

Hello & Greetings

I understand very much that it is really a difficult decision, but you can spare yourself the difficulty of making the decision, because the Torah in its wisdom has decided for us that it is impossible for a married woman to have a relationship with another man.

According to Judaism, a woman must be special and married to only one man, and cannot have relations with another man under any circumstances. Moreover, a man’s wife who has had conjugal relations with another man is forbidden to her husband and must be divorced, and she and her husband are forbidden to continue conjugal relations.

Therefore, if you understand that your wife is incapable of avoiding love and severing all contact with another man, or if you know for sure that she has had sexual relations with another man. Unfortunately, there is no other choice but to bring the marriage to an end.

However, if you do not have clear information that the woman had conjugal relations with another man, and the woman denies this, and apparently there was nothing between them but acts of adultery without lying down, her husband is not forbidden for this reason.

Therefore, in such a case, if you wish to continue living together, she must repent of her grave deeds against both her husband and God, and take it upon herself not to return to these deeds, and sever all ties with that man, and God will succeed in your path.

Best regards
