: According to our holy Torah, it is strictly forbidden to burn the body because a person was created at the beginning of his creation from dirt and he will return to the dust, and as it is written (Genesis chapter 3, 11): “In the sweat of your nose you will eat bread until you return to the earth because from it you are made and you will return to the dirt.” And not only the first person in the world this was told, but to every person and as it is written in the Torah (Book of Deuteronomy Chapter 20: 23): “He will not hang his scavenger on the tree because he must be buried” etc. from here we learn the burial law that even evil commands must be buried in the earth. And the whole matter of cremation came from those people who do not believe in leaving the soul after it leaves the human body, but we believe that there is a continuation and existence of the soul spirit and soul after the person leaves the world, it is strictly forbidden to burn the body of the deceased, and those who do cause great sorrow to the deceased.

Attention: You should not learn from one case to another, each case must be analyzed individually. Generally speaking, it's always best to have contact with a Rabbi in person, not just virtual contact. Note that where there is a local Rabbi("Mara Deatra"), one should ask him. The answers are under the responsibility of the rabbi who responded, and not under the responsibility of the website and/or the Head of the Institution.
