- The best sefaradic Kollel in Israel: Birkat Avraham has made it their goal to nurture, develop and train the future generation of Gedolei Yisrael and dayanim. These Rabbis, talmidei chachamim, are extraordinarily gifted, pious and diligent; they engage and toil in Torah with tremendous effort. An average of one out of every 40 of those who register, are accepted into the Kollel. The Rishon L’Tzion, Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef shlita, testified by saying the following: “This is the best kollel; I am familiar with many kollelim, but this is the best kollel. Ben porat Yosef, they sit and study! This is where the great Torah sages will originate from; the dayanim and poskim will emerge from this kollel” (– transcript taken from video). - Special Kiruv in small settlements in Israel where there is no rabbinical assistance. The success of this project is impressive, as they are people who believe in Judaism but just don’t know the mitzvot. Places where hitherto only had a minian in Yom Kippur, now there is a minian every day, they respect shabbat, mikve, etc. (please see HERE and click on the “Translate” button). This project has no name yet, and is waiting for a fixed donor who wants to choose the name.
- “Hasde Chalom”: Support for needy avrechim who are in economic trouble due to the fact that they need to have a party (brit milah, bar mitzvah, wedding of a child). This is a tzedeká very recommended for donors who are having a party in their own family (to show thanks to Hashem, through which they help in the party of Talmide Chachamim in need), and also for those who want to “attract” to themselves joys, because becomes “partners” in the joy of others. - Construction of the building of the great center of Judaism. The “Bircat Avraham” Institute, which Baruch Hashem has been operating for almost 20 years with great success, does not yet have its own building. With the help of Gd, the city of Jerusalem donated excellent land to the Institute in the Ramot district (Jerusalem). Apart from the need for a suitable place that will allow a future growth in the number of students at Bircat Avraham, the construction of the building, which Beezrat Hashem will also function as a Synagogue, is extremely important for the local population. In this area, countless families live who have nowhere to pray at an adequate distance, and are forced to pray daily in another neighborhood. Elderly people just end up praying at home for lack of options. According to a survey conducted by the city (published on March 24, 2019), this area has a minimum of 774 adult men who need a synagogue, apart from women and children. The building will also make possible, with the help of Gd, several important Jewish activities: Bet Din, Bet Horaah, rabbi service for the general public, shalom bait clinic, various shiurim, activities with children (such as Hazanut classes), and much more.
