Rabbi Michael Bahbout
Chief rabbi of the Safed branch of the Bircat Avraham institutions, is the author of the books Biur Hashulchan and others.
Distinguished Torah scholar, of broad knowledge and deep study, formerly Rosh Yeshivat Nezer Aharon and Rosh Kollel Mishkan Levi. Currently Rosh Kollel “Ohel Shelomo”, which is the Safed branch of the Bircat Avraham institutions. The rabbi authored the books “Biur Hashulchan” on the laws of mikvaot, the book “Milchemet Hashaará”, the books “Mime Mitsraim”, and others. He is also the chief rabbi of the toranic institute for the research of the customs of Egyptian Judaism. The rabbi is the brother of the head of the Bircat Avraham institutions, the Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu shelit״a.
