on: Vaccines are developed using aborted fetuses. The leading world authority has testified under oath to many dozens of fetuses used just under his research. Many more used by other vaccine developers. Yet many orthodox and conservative Jewish organizations now require children to have these to get in person instruction How can this ? Does jewish law allow for encouragement of abortion and having DNA fragments of aborted fetuses used in medical products?

: First of all, I don’t know if it’s true that vaccines are developed using the tissues of fetuses that were shot down for research, may have used fetal tissue that fell from its one, and were not deliberately discriminated against for research. The use of fetal tissues after their fall is permitted according to Halacha for medical purposes, it is not indefensible and does not disgrace the dead, because it is done for medical benefit, for the maintenance of life. Similar to the donation of organs from the dead permitted by Halacha for the benefit of patients who need these organs. Second, even if it is right with you that the embryos were deliberately discriminated against the halachah for the purpose of research, it is strictly forbidden to cause intentional abortion for this purpose. But still this does not yet prohibit the use of vaccines. Since the vaccines themselves do not carry fetal tissue, but research for the development of vaccines is also done through the use of fetal tissues. Therefore, after already a developed vaccine exists there is no prevention to use it to prevent diseases.   Third, even if the vaccines themselves carry fetal tissue, their use is permitted for medical purposes. There is no recommendation or expression of opinion on whether to get vaccinated or not, in my remarks I came to answer your question and say that in terms of Halacha there is no prevention to use vaccines even those developed using tissues from discriminatory fetuses. As good advice, I will note that you should check the data distributed by vaccine opponents, because in my experience a lot of the substance distributed is not accurate at all. Welcome to health and longevity. Sources

Does jewish law allow for encouragement of abortion and having DNA fragments of aborted fetuses used in medical products?

Answer:

First of all, I don’t know if it’s true that vaccines are developed using the tissues of fetuses that were shot down for research, may have used fetal tissue that fell from its one, and were not deliberately discriminated against for research.

Attention: You should not learn from one case to another, each case must be analyzed individually. Generally speaking, it's always best to have contact with a Rabbi in person, not just virtual contact. Note that where there is a local Rabbi("Mara Deatra"), one should ask him. The answers are under the responsibility of the rabbi who responded, and not under the responsibility of the website and/or the Head of the Institution.
