Question

Shalom, Rabbi

Is it permissible for Sephardic Jews to eat pizza with tuna?

Thank you

Answer

Shalom and blessings

According to Sephardic custom, it is not permissible to eat fish with milk, due to the dangers.

Therefore, one should not eat pizza with milk that contains yellow cheese along with tuna.

However, pizza with tuna that does not contain dairy products, but only tomato paste and tuna, etc., is permitted.

And according to Ashkenazi custom, it is permissible to eat fish with milk, which is why Ashkenazi Jews often eat pizza with tuna.

With blessings

Attention: You should not learn from one case to another, each case must be analyzed individually. Generally speaking, it's always best to have contact with a Rabbi in person, not just virtual contact. Note that where there is a local Rabbi("Mara Deatra"), one should ask him.
