Is there a need to make a dividing line when writing God’s name in other language [go-d?”]

Hello

When I write the name of Hashem, it is customary to write with a dividing line separating the letters of the name, so we write go-d so that there will be no disrespect or in honor of God’s name.

When writing in the other languages “Di_u” in French and “G-tt” in German, should one also do so?

From the essence of the law, there is no need to write a dividing line in the letters of the name in English, since it is not really the name of God and there is no holiness in it, but it is a nickname for the name of God, and in the name there is no need to make a dividing line.

Only in the holy names is it customary to draw a dividing line, such as אלהי-ם שד-י etc., but in other names such as רחום חנון etc., there is no need to make a dividing line.

Although there are those who do the same when writing go-d as a mark of honor for God’s name and as a hallmark, this certainly belongs in all languages, although it is not on the part of halacha but a custom. Therefore, if they did not do so in other languages, there is no need to start doing so in the other languages.
